Electrical Shop carries out the works of Inspection, Test, Repair and Overhaul for the components in capability list. The components are effective for THY fleet as well as third party. Besides Electrical Shop is also responsible from the Battery Shop

Some examples of the components in our capability list are;

APU Generator, Starter Motor, Retractable Landing Light, Strobe Light, Logo Light, Galley Inserts (Steam & Convection Oven, Coffee Maker, Water Boiler, Bun Warmer), Ignition System Components like exciters and leads, Ballast Unit, Transformer Rectifier, Main Battery, Battery Pack.

Electrical shop consists of three groups which are;

Electrical 1 Group
This group is mostly responsible for electrical power system components includes starter motors, generators, T/R units and lighting components and ignition system components like exciters and leads. Test, repair, overhaul and inspection of mentioned components are done in this group. Some examples of the components of this group are; APU starter motor, starter/generator APU generator, retractable landing lights, logo lights, strobe lights, transformer rectifiers, relays, C/B’s, contactors, ignition exciters, ignition cables, drain mast.

Electrical 2 Group
This Group is responsible for galley inserts that are in our shop code and test, repair, overhaul, and inspection of mentioned components are done in this group. Some examples of the components of this group are; steam & convection ovens, coffee makers, water boilers, bun warmer, main batteries and battery packs.
